I keep saying now that tax season is over it’s time to get back on the weight-loss wagon. Although this lunch may not look 100% healthy, it’s probably a lot better than what I had been eating the past few weeks. Baby steps!
Oh and yes this is yet another new bento box. It’s a Laptop Lunch set from Obentec. I’ve been eyeing these sets for quite a while and finally bought a couple. My other bento boxes seem smaller in comparison and some very well might be, but depending on how you pack some of the two-tier ones and if I included the side-cars for fruits and veggies, they probably hold as much as the Laptop Lunch sets. You know I’m a sucker for cute containers and bright colors!
As I said, not the best lunch, but a definite improvement. I at least got some fresh veggies and fruits in! The small containers have carrot and cucumber slices with southwestern ranch dressing for dipping and some fresh strawberries. The top “large” container has two teeny pieces of leftover frozen pizza. Like I totally jacked up the pizza trying to slice it into 16ths. The bottom container has veggie buffalo “wings.” I usually get the ones by Morningstar but decided to try the ones by Health is Wealth.
What I like best about packing my lunches in bento boxes is not just the portion control, but I end up wanting to pack fruits and veggies to brighten everything up.
