Why hello!
After a little weekend detour, I’m back! Weekend eating is definitely one of my biggest struggles, but I guess the important thing is that I need to turn it around come Monday.
Miracle of miracles, I got up early and worked out instead of hitting snooze for another hour. I did about 30 minutes of a kundalini yoga workout and then 30 minutes of a Leslie Sansone “Walk away the Pounds” dvd.
Instead of downing a smoothie on the way out the door, I made myself a civilized breakfast: Quaker hot multigrain cereal made with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a couple heaping spoons of pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, some Splenda, a splash of pumpkin spice creamer, and some fresh blueberries.
After dealing with tax notices, I had the rest of my breakfast: frozen egg white patties that I nuked up with some baby spinach and spiked with hot sauce and seasoning.
I had an errand to run at lunch, so I ate on the go: light dill rye bread (I found it at Kroger, it’s 100 calories for 2 slices and SO good), and some Hormel Naturals cracked black pepper turkey. I packed some soup but never did eat it.
Around 3:30 I started getting hungry again and ate some grapes. I needed something a little more, but was in the middle of something.
After work I ended up meeting Mr. Spice at the Macy’s in Lenox Mall to pick up a gift for his business partner. For it being a week before Christmas, the parking lot and mall were not too crazy. But I think I’ll just stay away in general around this time of year
I got home starving and snacked on some chips, then we heated up some leftovers from this weekend — I had cooked some boneless skinless chicken thighs and basmati rice in some oil, garlic, onion, ginger, and a packet of Shan Pilau Biryani mix (my favorite).
I think I’ll have a bit of chocolate as we watch tv and then call it a night!
See you tomorrow!
