Everybody Wanchai Tonight — Wanchai Ferry Giveaway!

by spiceaholic on June 17, 2010

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought of that title . . .   🙂

Way more often than I’d like, I come home tired from work and there’s nothing ready to eat for dinner.  So we end up ordering something or going out.

Well, guess who was tired after work tonight and didn’t feel like cooking?

Luckily, MyBlogSpark and Wanchai Ferry came to the rescue!  To promote several new flavors in the Wanchai Ferry lineup, they decided to put together a great little giveaway!

I got to sample their new Beef & Broccoli frozen dinner and received 2 tea sets — 2 tea cups, tea leaf strainer, and tea leaves.

While I haven’t had a chance to try out the tea set yet, we tried out the Beef & Broccoli tonight.

All it took was 1 pan and less than 15 minutes, and soon we had one of our favorite Chinese take-out dishes in the comfort of our own kitchen!  The beef and veggies cook in the pan while you steam the rice in the microwave.  Then you add the stir-fry sauce to the pan and heat it through.  It couldn’t be easier.

I liked that there was plenty of visual appeal from the broccoli, water chestnuts, and red pepper slices.  Mr. Spice and I are big rice eaters, so next time we’ll probably add some more rice to this to sop up all that sauce.  All in all, not a bad alternative to take-out!  Plus you don’t have to tip any delivery people!

Along with Beef and Broccoli, there are two other new dishes, Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Style Chicken, that join the existing line-up of  Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, and Sweet & Sour Chicken.  I definitely see us trying some of them out.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  That’s right, we have ourselves another giveaway!

MyBlogSpark and Wanchai Ferry want to give one of you a chance to try these new dishes via a VIP coupon, as well as receive 2 tea sets.

The tea set looks awesome! I’d like to try the Beef and Broccoli too, as well as the Orange Chicken.

It’d be nice to see some entrees that contained tofu, for nights when your don’t feel like eating meat, like a Buddha’s Feast flavor. A Lemon Chicken dish would also be yummy too 🙂

The beef & broccoli looks great – I’d like to try that. The hubby is a big fan of orange beef, so I’ll suggest that one.

OMG, I am so glad that I am not the only one eating this. I love it, everything (well except the protein)is in the box. We have tried just about all of them (short of the seafood ones because well we are allergic to most if not all seafood, so to avoid shock we stay far away from it all) my all time favorite is the the Kung Pow Chicken, but I like them all. If you have not had the chance to try it go and get it.
