Well, yesterday was quite the adventure!
After weeks of excitement, it was finally time to leave for San Francisco for the FoodBuzz Blogger Festival.
Since it had been a last minute decision to go and because all my vacation time is being used up for our big trip later this month (more on that later), my choice in flight times was limited.
I worked until noon and then Mr. Spice picked me up from work to take me to the airport. So sweet of him!
I convinced him to just drop me off instead of coming in with me while I checked in because I was just so excited to be on my way.
After checking in and getting through security, I was starving! Plus the flight was going to be around 5 hours so I wanted to make sure I ate something substantial.
No worries, there was an On The Border in my terminal! Fiesta time!
Usually I feel self-conscious about dining alone, but in an airport it’s practically the norm!
What fiesta doesn’t start with chips and salsa?
I wanted to order something quick and not too heavy, since I didn’t need an upset tummy on a 5 hour flight. But I also wanted something that would keep me satisfied.
Hmmm, fajita steak quesadillas sounded perfect!
I made my way through half and then just picked out the steak from the remaining half.
This was the perfect start to my adventure. A little alone time and some yummy food.
Stay tuned for recaps of this weekend!
