MyBlogSpark + Green Giant Giveaway!

by spiceaholic on March 15, 2011

If you’ve been reading Spice’s Bites for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of convenience. Mr. Spice and I are both busy people with demanding jobs, so I try to make things as easy as I can for us.

I tend to buy a mix of frozen and fresh veggies, depending on what I’m in the mood for and what I’m planning to eat that week. I love the convenience of frozen veggies — I use them to bulk up a frozen meal quite a bit and I don’t have to worry about them going bad. I’ve been using them quite a bit these past few weeks as work has gotten busier with our spring tax deadlines.

So you can imagine what good timing it was when I saw the opportunity to try out Green Giant’s frozen boxed vegetables through my membership with MyBlogSpark. Green Giant has plenty of frozen veggies to choose from, some plain and some with sauces or other flavorings.

The prize pack I received from MyBlogSpark and Green Giant contained a frozen sample of Green Giant frozen vegetables (I got broccoli with cheese sauce), an insulated tote bag, a serving bowl, a spoon, and a pedometer! All very cutely color-coordinated too, might I add!

Green_Giant-4-WEB

I’m loving the serving bowl and spoon, can’t have too many of those!  The insulated bag is great for taking home frozen items from the grocery store.  And now that the weather is getting nicer, I will be putting that pedometer to good use.

The broccoli and cheese sauce couldn’t be easier to prepare — just put it on a plate, cut a slit, and microwave for 4-7 minutes.  I added some seasonings and hot sauce and my side dish for dinner was complete!

So how do you get yourself one of these prize packs?

  1. Go to the Green Giant website and leave me a comment telling me which variety of boxed vegetables you would choose
  2. Leave a comment telling me how you make things easy for yourself during a busy week
  3. Visit the Spice’s Bites Facebook page and become a fan, then leave a comment telling me
  4. Link back to this post on your blog
  5. Follow me on Twitter — @spicesbites
  6. Tweet about this giveaway!  “Win a prize pack from Green Giant and #MyBlogSpark on @spicesbites!”

The giveaway runs until 10 pm Eastern time on Monday, March 21st.  I will draw a winner using Random.org and will post the winner and email them.  Winner must contact me no later than Wednesday with their contact information.

Please note that the winner will receive a coupon to try a box of Green Giant vegetables.

Good luck!

I like their Broc & Cheese Sauce…would like to try the Shoepeg White Corn & Butter Sauce as I have never had shoepeg corn before. 🙂

Karen March 16, 2011 at 12:43 pm

My main strategy to make things easier is to do as much as possible prep wise ahead of time whether it be for cooking or clothes etc. Also clean up as you go before things get out of hand. 🙂

Hi, I’d choose the steamed sugar peas.

I make things easy during a busy week by dividing up my lunch portions of various foods several days in advance, so most of my lunch is ready to go each day.
