I hope everyone is keeping warm today! The Atlanta Journal-Constitution had this blurb on the front page that said the temperature in Atlanta was colder than Alaska! Brrrr!
Plus we were expecting snow today, which is a big deal here since the whole city seems to shut down at the sight of a few flurries.
Shall we get on with the eats? I have to apologize in advance for the crappy quality of the pictures. I have been using the camera on my iPhone while I’m at work and there’s no flash, macro, etc. so it’s okay in a pinch but not for regular posting.
Having stopped at the grocery store yesterday, I was reunited with my beloved breakfast sandwich.
What a great way to start the day.
Last night I had the presence of mind to pack some of the leftover rotisserie chicken, along with some salad. See, there I go again with a salad!
I am most definitely not winning any food photo awards here! This was taken in the breakroom at work without trying to be obvious about what I was doing. I also stole one of Mr. Spice’s cans of soup from the pantry this morning since it was so cold. I had half the can with lunch and the rest a few hours later.
And then of course I was hungry again a couple hours later. I’ve been noticing I get hungry every 2-3 hours, so I need to either eat more at lunch or just plan on eating frequently and do mini-meals or something.
This was SO good! I’ve had the plain 0% Fage before, but not this kind. I added splenda to the yogurt like I usually do, but the cherry preserves were definitely my favorite part. I admit to using my finger to dig out the rest at the bottom of the container. Don’t worry, I hid in the breakroom while I did that.
The weather forecast did not disappoint and we did end up with some snow this afternoon. Not a whole lot, and not anywhere close to enough for the bosses to shut the office down early.
So when I got home I did a bad thing. I was hungry and dinner was going to take a little while, so I started munching on some SunChips I bought last night. I should have known better, since chips are a trigger food for me and I have no “off” switch. So I ended up having MUCH more than pictured here:
Dinner itself wasn’t too bad, but I was feeling full from the chips I scarfed down.
Publix had Boca products on sale 2 for $6, so I bought a couple boxes for those nights when I don’t have time to cook (like most nights!). I baked some frozen fries, heated up a “chik’n” patty and put that on a light english muffin with some pepperjack.
And that’s it for now.
Now then — be honest with me. The titles for my daily eats are a bit boring, no? Even Mr. Spice was commenting on it. But I don’t know that I can think of a unique or cute/witty title every day. Any suggestions?
And be honest with me some more. What do you think of me posting my daily eats? I’m finding it helpful for myself, personally.
See you tomorrow!
