That’s more like it!

I think I found my missing fruits and veggies from the past couple days!  Wohoo!

Had to work for a few hours today, but first I had to pick up my beloved Zoom-Zoom from the dealership.  Yes, I have a Mazda. Real original name, huh?

I took it in for an oil-change and somehow that turned into some “dealer-recommended” milestone check-up and then had to get front brake stuff replaced.  I’m such a service center’s dream.   But until the warranty runs out (which will be this week?) I gotta take it to the dealership.

Which brings me to a question — is it worth it to get an extended warranty?  Probably a scam, right? My car’s only 4 years old.

Anyway, after I got into work, I was hungry for breakfast.

Instant oatmeal with sliced strawberries and REAL sugar. The Splenda and Equal were gone and there was some Sweet-n-Low which I wasn’t sure about.

Oh and one of these too:

I tried this one thawed after it had thawed in the fridge and didn’t heat it up. Still has a bit of the weird after-taste, but not as pronounced. I probably won’t make a habit of buying these, maybe if they’re on sale.

Yesterday at our tax meeting I asked if they would buy us lunch since we were going to be working on Saturday. Hee hee. They said yes, so we ordered from Fresh 2 Order (F20), since it’s practically downstairs. They have a ton of salads, sandwiches, and entrees, making it a popular lunch-spot.

I am VERY picky about my salads — I don’t like stinky cheeses (goat, bleu, gorgonzola), balsamic vinaigrette, dried fruits, fruits, sweet dressings, etc. in my salads. Call me unsophisticated, but it is what it is. I got the Southwestern salad with no dried cranberries or raisins, the southwestern ranch dressing, and added some salmon.

Their salads are huge and I can never finish all of it. I did finish the salmon. And only had one bite of the honey croissant that come with the salads.

This kept me going for a while. After work I went to Borders to browse for a bit, plus I had a 30% coupon burning a hole in my purse. I found some good deals in the bargain book section as usual, found the next book in my Joanne Fluke series, and settled in with some other books that looked good and promptly went on my Amazon wish-list.

After I got home, I was a little hungry but not that hungry. This was perfect:

I got some light chocolate soymilk last week and it is SO good. Some soymilks have such a pronounced soy taste, but this didn’t.

I got hungry again a little later and had a small slice of leftover pizza:

Sorry for the weird angle. I was inspired by Biz‘s Friday night pizza nights and made this last night using Trader Joe’s pizza dough, some pasta sauce, shredded cheese, baby spinach, turkey pepperoni, and Trader Joe’s jalapeno chicken sausages. Can you tell we went to Trader Joe’s last week? 😀

And that brings us to dinner. I’m on my own tonight which means I can throw together whatever I want without having to worry if Mr. Spice won’t like it.

Sorry for the weird blur in the upper left, I think my fingernail got caught in the way. I took a Pepperidge Farm Deli Flat and spread some Trader Joe’s chipotle hummus on it, then added baby spinach and cracked blacked pepper turkey breast lunch meat. Oh so good. I love this flavor of hummus. Oh and I had a Tarocco orange on the side, this one was sweeter than the last.

Not much planned for tonight.  As lame as it sounds and feel free to mock me, there’s a movie on Lifetime I really want to see tonight — “Who is Clark Rockefeller?” If it involves a mystery and is based on true-events, it’s my kind of movie.  Nothing wrong with a good old crappy Lifetime movie once in a while.

Hope you’re having a good weekend so far.  Don’t forget to set your clocks an hour ahead tonight!

Thanks, Biz! And thanks for validating my secret love of Lifetime movies! What sucked was halfway through the movie, Lifetime stopped showing any audio or video, but the other channels were fine. Mr. Spice said that was a sign that even Comcast deemed it a crappy movie. *sigh*
