I agree it’s incredibly important to make a donation to relief efforts for the Haiti earthquake, but I will respectfully offer two other options for donations. Especially after reading this article in the New York Times (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9905EEDF1130F930A35752C0A9609C8B63&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=2) I learned that it’s most helpful to donate to relief efforts that are based in Haiti or will donate directly to organizations based/already working in Haiti. Places like the Red Cross although good, usually have their money tied up in a lot of red tape and have a hard time making it to their actual relief destination. It’s important to support efforts that include people who are already familiar with Haiti and based there.
