Today was one of those days where I kept feeling hungry and couldn’t seem to figure what it was I wanted to eat, I just wanted to eat. I blame it on something that begins with “P,” ends with “S,” and has “M” in the middle. 😛
Breakfast started off great:
Kashi GoLean, fresh blueberries, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and Splenda.
This lasted me all of 30 minutes and I was starving again when I got to work. I found a pathetic cheese sandwich I’d left in the fridge at work on Friday.
Gouda on a sandwich thin. So unglamorous. But it did the trick.
Lunch was a bust. I don’t know why I insist on giving Healthy Choice frozen dinners another chance. Even if they look good, they are always so BLAND and NOT GOOD.
I couldn’t finish this, but luckily I had anticipated my fickleness and I packed the last of the frozen pizza from this weekend.
Very mehhh, but it shut my tummy up for the time being.
Now I do have to admit that some of my munchiness was also due to the fact that I was having a hard time staying focused on work, so I let myself be distracted by food.
These crackers were calling my name all day.
After my piggish little hands had dove into the box a few times, I decided enough was enough and to just serve myself crackers like a civilized person. And I even had some Laughing Cow cheese with them to make it more substantial.
This finally did the trick and it even managed to fuel me through a workout! Yes, I actually worked out today! I decided to do one of my old Firm workouts and I surprised myself by making it through all 50+ minutes of it despite being so horribly out of shape. I remember how good I used to feel when I did these workouts, so I might give them another shot.
Chloe decided it would be fun to try to pounce on me throughout my workout and that hiding underneath the steps while I was using them was a great idea. No Chloe, not fun. 🙂
After my workout I was pretty hungry. I had some chocolate soy milk while I decided what I wanted. I pulled out the leftover chicken and rice from yesterday, but decided it was too heavy. So I decided on this:
“Fried” egg open sandwiches! I bought this rosemary peppercorn bread from Publix yesterday and decided I wanted to use that for the base. I melted some Kraft 2% pepperjack on top while I “fried” my eggs in cooking spray.
I also put this together to have on the side:
Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and mango. Publix had a great sale on berries and I totally stocked up. This was SO good! I need to remember to make this more often.
If you thought that was the end of my food, then you were wrong.
Look what I found by the couch! After the first couple handfuls, I realized I was still hungry (duh) and needed to eat something besides Cheezits.
I promise this is the last of it.
Tater Tots! How convenient I had some in my freezer. What a way to end the day. But I finally feel like I’ve plugged up the bottomless pit in my stomach.
And now it’s time for bed.
Good night!
