It is definitely much easier and more fun to gain weight than to lose it. I was doing fine up until a couple weeks ago — rejoined Weight Watchers, was tracking my food, making better choices. And then, I’m not sure what happened but I sure as hell wasn’t tracking my food and not making good choices.
And so now I’m paying the price.
Even though I get bored with doing daily eats posts, they really do help me stay on track. So I guess I should quit fighting it and just do them as much as I can. Plus it seems like some of you like seeing my daily eats!
Here’s today’s eats:
Protein shake to start the morning off.
Blueberry oatmeal with fresh blueberries and cinnamon.
Rotini and meatballs with some fresh spinach. Last year I bought some Nutrisystem food to get me through tax season and I still have a couple boxes of it to get through. It’s good for convenience, but I get too bored eating all the food all the time.
Cocoa almonds! I love these.
Blood orange – not as sweet as I was hoping.
Cheesy pizza bites — still working my way through some of the Medifast stuff I ordered. These aren’t bad for when the salty crunchy munchies hit.
I hit up Whole Foods on the way home (not something I do a lot) to pick up some stuff for dinner tomorrow night and decided to pay the olive bar a visit. Had a few olives while I made dinner.
Some really good rosemary olive oil bread from Whole Foods. I’ve already got a good idea for a sandwich using this bread. In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying thin slices here and there.
It was nice knowing what I was going to make for dinner! I baked some salmon and roasted some new potatoes, then made a Dijon-dill sauce and steamed some broccoli. I’ll post the recipe for the sauce in a separate post. Not bad at all considering I was making it up as I went!
That’s it for today!
**Good news! I’m up to 30% in the Alexia Foods “Reinvent a Classic” Fry Challenge! I’m still solidly in 2nd place, but if we can keep closing the gap over the next 6 weeks there’s still a chance I could win! Please keep voting!**
