Ehhh, couldn’t think of anything cute or witty for the title.
This morning I finally got up when the alarm went off without hitting snooze five billion times. The time? 6 am. Why? So I could get some exercise in.
I decided to ease into things and did a Walk Away The Pounds dvd for 30 minutes and then followed it up with a 20 minute yoga dvd. Not too hard, but I did break a sweat.
One thing I don’t like about working out in the morning other than having to get up early is that I’m always so freaking hungry the whole day, especially in the morning. I thought I would try a different breakfast today to see if I could fool my tummy.
I started off with a Weetabix biscuit in unsweetened vanilla almond milk with some blueberries, cinnamon and splenda. Cereal never holds me more than 30 minutes, so I paired it with an egg crispily “fried” in cooking spray. I like my eggs well done and with crunchy edges.
This didn’t last me very long, but work managed to distract me until lunch time. This lunch is actually what I had packed for myself for Friday — leftover jambalaya! Sorry for the ugly monochromatic look. I had most of a pear after this but didn’t finish it since it was making weird bumps on my lips.
I managed to hold out for my afternoon snack until about 4. I had a choice of Oikos honey-flavored yogurt with blueberries or peanut butter and crackers. Just wasn’t in a yogurt mood today.
Dinner tonight was one of our weeknight staples — pasta! Mr. Spice cooked up some angel hair pasta, and I heated up some Trader Joe’s frozen turkey meatballs and pasta sauce. I added spinach and parmesan to my bowls. Yes, plural. I had seconds because I was still hungry.
And then something sweet for dessert:
This was one of the muffin-like things I made yesterday. I’ve toyed with calling them chocolate crap-cakes or colon-blow muffins, but those don’t sound very ladylike or genteel. So, Fiber One crunchy fudge cakes?
Gotta go, the KU-Mizzou basketball game is on . . . Go Mizzou!

Great blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine.
Please let me know where you got your design. Kudos
