*CLOSED* Sweet Secrets Chocolate Pretzel Pizza Review and Giveaway

If you were to ask me, I would say I have more of a salt tooth rather than a sweet tooth.  Sure, I like ice cream, brownies, cookies and desserts.  But I don’t go as crazy over them as I do for chips, olives, fries, pickles, etc.  But if there was such a thing as a chocolate tooth, well then I’d have a hard time deciding between that and a salt tooth.   That’s probably why I like stuff that combines sweet and salty like salted caramel chocolates and chocolate-covered pretzels.  It’s the best of both worlds!

It was during one of these salty or sweet debates last month that I was offered the chance to sample and review Sweet Secrets Artisan Chocolates‘ new Chocolate Pretzel Pizza.  Hello, that was an easy decision!  It was great timing too, since we were going to celebrate a friend’s birthday and this would be the perfect place to try  it.

The Chocolate Pretzel Pizza comes delivered in its own pizza box and comes with a cute wooden “chocolate busting” mallet that you use to break the pizza into delicious pieces.  The pizzas come in an individual size, a “friends”-size, and a party size – perfect for sending as a care package, gift, or for that next party you’re having.

Just imagine this:  a crust made from pretzel and sugar cone pieces, then this is topped with M&Ms, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and white and milk chocolate drizzles.  I’m telling you, this tasted even better than it sounds. You have the crunch from the crust, the hint of salt from the pretzels, and then the chocolate to balance it all out.  I have to be honest and admit that the leftovers I brought home did not last 24 hours, we scarfed it all down!  Maybe we’re a violent group, but we had fun using the mallet to break the pizza into pieces.  Very therapeutic!

I took a look on the Sweet Secrets Artisan Chocolates website to see what else they offer, and let’s just say I want to eat everything they have!  There’s all sorts of cute gift packages featuring all sorts of combinations of chocolate and pretzels.  They even make handmade truffles, but these are unfortunately not available online. Starting this year they are even going to offer a heart-shaped Chocolate Pretzel Pizza that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!  Also, just in time for the big game on February 2nd, they will customize your pizza in your favorite team’s colors!
